About the Scholarship

Air Academy Credit Union (AACU) established the Air Academy Federal Credit Union Foundation on June 12, 2002, to promote financial education and wellness within the community.

In the spirit of the credit union philosophy of People Helping People, the Foundation scholarship supports education and lifelong financial responsibility. The program is designed to help high school students unlock their potential and encourage personal and academic growth. Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded annually on a competitive basis to graduating high school seniors, regardless of intended major. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, application responses, essay submission, and community involvement. Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the recipient's accredited institution or deposited into an AACU account to use towards qualifying expenses 1
